Just beyond the north exit door from the Cold Storage area, lies the entry portal leading into the Lich, Lhessadrak's inner sanctum. These powerful portals are greatly ensorcelled with necromantic powers to activate that affect those using it based on their alignment.
Evil creatures or those with undead traits can pass through without harm, passing through one portal into the other automatically and immediately.
Neutrally aligned users of the portals must make a Fortitude DC check of 20 or lose one level. Those who succeed in their fortitude checks are prevented from passing through the portal, as the level drain is required to activate it.
Good aligned users of the portals must make a Fortitude DC check of 20 or lose two levels. Those who succeed in their fortitude checks are prevented from passage as the level drain is required to activate it.
