Standing like a blight in the wilderness, the ancient stone citadel of Lhessadrak menaces the marshes surrounding it. The party has arrived at their appointed destination.

[No matter the time of day, it seems to be twilight in the environs around the fortress.]

The last word given the party by the King's warden was upon reaching the fortress, enter with care. A hallway to the left of the entranceway leads to a tower with stairs up and down. Down is the way into the crypt and down is where the two princes are expected to be.

Once the PCs enter the first chamber, the chosen PC will indicate the east side doorway "This is where we are supposed to go..." - when asked, she says, "It was in my dream. It means final death to go any other way. That's all I remember..."

1, The first chamber beyond the iron doors into the fortress has a thick and sickly smell of iron and old blood. A statue of a cupid cries blood over itself into the bowls of the fountain, even trickling over the edge onto the floor.

[A Lesser Blood Elemental inhabits the lower bowl of the fountain, but will not attack unless the fountain is touched.]

2. At each compass point an iron door bars the way, To the east lies a 60 foot long hallway, that is 10 feet wide and 15 feet tall of fitted stone and mortar .

[On the floor at the center of this hallway a Symbol of Pain is emblazoned - Fortitude Save Negates]

3. Tower of Acension - beyond the locked iron doors to the west at the end of the Hallway of Pain, lies a great tower open from floor to ceiling rising 120 feet over head, stairs climb half way up to the second floor. At the center of this chamber are stairs leading down. These lead to the crypt.

[This dungeon does not include other chambers of the Fortress should the party want to explore elsewhere. Should this occur the Gamemaster should remind the party the importance of rescuing the two princes before time has run out, so the party is advised to go straight into the crypt.]
